    Ing.et Ing. Miroslav Fondrk http://www.uniaenologov.sk/?p=115&lang=en Wed, 04 Apr 2018 19:40:15 +0000 http://www.uniaenologov.sk/?p=115 He graduated from the Faculty of Economic Informatics at the Economics University in Bratislava (Department of Econometrics and Operational Research) and then Viticulture and Winery at the Gardening Faculty in Lednice, Mendel University in Brno. He holds the Advanced Certificate WSET in London and is studying Level 4 - Diploma at Weinakademie Östereich in Russia. Between 2009 and 2011, he was editor of Wine magazine responsible for editorial tests of wine and published articles especially about Slovak and Spanish wineries. Since 2008, he has been participating in both domestic and foreign wine competitions. At present, he is the main wine producer at Miro Fondrk in Tomasovo, and as the director of Best Wines Slovakia s.r.o., which deals with the import and distribution of wines from all over the world and operates the wine bar '' The Taste '' in Bratislava.

    He has worked in winemaking since 1995 in  Vinárske závody Topolčianky, Víno Nitra, Vinanza Vráble, in the functions of the cellar manipulant, the wine production technician and the master craftsman.

    Since 2006 he has been working in Vo. Wine Matyšák as Managing Director. During this time, it became the winery of the year  in Slovakia and since its entry into the market, several wines have won several medals and other awards at prestigious domestic and international competitions.

    As a recognized expert, he is often a member of the evaluation committees at major domestic and international wine competitions.

Since 1987 he has been working in Radošin. He started as an artisan master at the Radošina brewery station and since 1996 as a head of wine and wine production in the successor company Wood – Radošina Brewery Station. Since 2004, he has been working as a leading technologist and leader in the production of wine in the successor company of Pivnica Radošina, which manages 33 hectares of vineyards and annually produces 200,000 bottles of wine. Since the mid-1990s, he has been regularly attending wineries’ wine tasting committees.

During this period, the company became Winery of the year several times in Slovakia and since its entry into the market, several wines have won several medals and other awards at prestigious domestic and international competitions. He is currently Vice President of the Union of Winegrowers and Wines of Slovakia, and professionally cooperates with several wine-producing subjects. As a recognized expert, he is often a member of the evaluation committees at major domestic and international wine competitions.

Provides wine production under an agreed brand name and complete quality control from grapes to wine. As a renowned international expert, he provides enological supervision of important domestic and international wine competitions, where he is often also a member of the evaluation committees.
